Abstract: This paper describes
some of the ideas surrounding the legend of the lost city of
Piatiti preliminary to defining the areas of Inca domain,
investigating the Antisuyo jungle area, and assessing whether
its inhabitants constructed large scale settlements in the
Peruvian Amazon Basin. After examining primary sources that
provide evidence for these claims and assessing both sides of
the arguments, I conclude that such sites could theoretically
have existed. © 2007-2009 Archaeodiversity Research Group &
