Abstract: Since long time ago we thought that mushrooms figures in our pre-Hispanic iconography where limited to the Mesoamerican area, but now with the new archaeological information we got, we can establish hypothesis of the extension with the similar importance at all south America of this Mycolatry. © 2007-2008 Archaeodiversity Research Group & Syllaba Press. Resumen: Durante mucho tiempo se ha pensado, que las representaciones de hongos en la iconografía prehispánica estaban limitadas al área mesoamericana; pero la información arqueológica que tenemos ahora, nos permite plantear la hipótesis de que la Micolatría se extiende con similar importancia por toda Suramérica. © 2007-2008 Archaeodiversity Research Group & Syllaba Press.
