Abstract: Within the landscape context and its realtionship with the
archeological research, it shows a series of analysis and
interpretations made to the clay female figures from the county of
Montelibano, Cordoba Colombia taking on a tangible way the
concepts of identity, genre, and art on the landscape where the
diverse ideas that could of indicate possession and/or needs to
mark and transform the space where they were found.
Archeological research shows and associate the diverse cultural
manifestations on the archeological ethnical tribe, the Zenu; this
is because of the many stylistics features shared on their
material production as well as the changes made on the landscape,
aspects that demonstrate the political and religious similarities
between the communities that occupied the main part of the floated
depression. The represented iconography may obey to a well defined
conception of the natural space; highlighting as well, major
criteria of the identity features marked on time and space. So it
is proposed a new look to the relationship that reflects the
mentioned features, those whose make relevant components on the
process of socialization on the landscape, that could be promoted
by social and political ways, basically, not all the time, tied to

Resumen: Dentro del contexto del paisaje y su relación con el registro
arqueológico, se presenta una serie de análisis e interpretaciones
efectuados a las figurinas femeninas de barro del municipio de
Montelíbano, Córdoba Colombia, abordando de manera tangencial los
conceptos de identidad, género y arte en el paisaje en donde se
plasmaron diversas ideas que podrían indicar posesión y/o
necesidades de marcar y transformar el espacio.
Investigaciones arqueológicas realizadas asocian las diversas
manifestaciones culturales a la etnia arqueológica Zenú por la
cantidad de rasgos estilísticos compartidos en su producción
material como también las modificaciones realizadas en el paisaje,
aspectos que denotan el parentesco político y religioso entre las
comunidades que ocuparon gran parte de la depresión inundable. La
iconografía representada puede obedecer a una bien definida
concepción del entorno natural destacando también con criterios
valorativos los rasgos de identidad marcados en el tiempo y en el
espacio. Se propone entonces una nueva mirada a la relación que
reflejan dichos rasgos y que constituyen componentes relevantes en
el proceso de socialización del paisaje, que pueden estar
promovidos por variables sociales y políticas no siempre o
básicamente, vinculadas a factores tecno-económicos. © 2007
